Another one of them milestones

Today was Elissa's first official haircut (I figure me hacking at her fringe doesn't count). This morning she looked something like this:

After half an hour of sitting on my lap in the hairdresser's, marred only by a little boredom and absolutely no crying or obnoxiousness, she looked like this:

It took less than 10 minutes for someone to call her a boy, and to look sceptically at me when I said she was a girl. Of course, if you can see any similarities between these two photos: may understand why some people might think she looks a teensy bit like a boy. The top photo is Ben at almost the same age (about 2 months older).

Just in case you were wondering whether boys and girls really do look any different when they are 2.

  1. awww, i cant believe you cut her beautiful locks off.

Perhaps u will just have to resort to the stereotypical pink dress code, so the general public avoids confusion lol. At least they arent twins, u would never tell them apart lol.

P.S. Atom did not disappoint lol :P stay tuned for review # 2 lol

  2. The trouble is, they weren't beautiful locks at the back, they were a frizzy, matted mess. For a while it was ok if I conditioned and brushed it every night, but recently even that wasn't helping. She looked like she'd just stuck her finger in a power socket.

But I like confusing the general public. Soon enough she'll be old enough to have her own opinions on whether she wants to confuse the public, right now I get to play with her. :)
